Through a shared passion for the countryside and farming, Dora and Maria Luisa together with Arturo, Roberto and Francesco, in 1991 began to produce a high quality wine with a dream to revive the ancient tradition of Campania’s noble vines. Roberto is no longer with us, but the work of the Galardi cellar is carried out in his memory in the search for the highest quality in wine making.
The potential of the volcanic terrain descending towards the sea, together with Riccardo Cotarella, a respected wine maker with a particular interest in reviving and enhancing wines from southern Italy, brought about the birth, in 1994, of a product that aroused an incredible amount of excitement. The Terra di Lavoro. 2017 arrived and since the first evolutionary stages of the ripening of the grapes, the signs of a great vintage and mainly an excellent performance of Piedirosso. Joining old and new, extra virgin oil “Fontana Galardi” is produced by pressing of “cultivar” Sessana, Leccino and Frantoio, hand-picked at right ripeness and carefully transformed with methods in respect of the fruit to enhancing the quality and taste level.
